What is Sudoku?
Sudoku is a logic‐based, number‐placement puzzle played on a 9×9 grid, divided into nine 3×3 subgrids. The goal is to fill every cell so that each row, column, and 3×3 box contains all digits from 1 to 9 exactly once. Originating in the late 1970s and popularized in Japan, Sudoku challenges pattern recognition and deductive reasoning—no advanced math required.
